Sobi is a system product which collects users’ physical and emotional data from IoT devices, and uses it to help people create the most balanced body & mind relationship. The creators of Sobi, Tokyo-based consulting company Nuture corporation, believe that contribution to society is the best way to do business in the modern world. They are still in the process of developing the system, and planning to create an app this year. I joined their team to be in charge of branding. I’m very excited to be part of this innovative project.
I've been working with the very talented Japanese rock band, THE RICECOOKERS for a while now. Since their lyrics are so beautiful, I enjoyed working with their album covers and promotional pieces. In 2010 their song "Nami no Yukusaki" was the theme song for the Japanese hit TV show, "SPEC", and spread their name and fame in Japan.
Urbanbloom is a Brooklyn based flower arranging business. We worked on the logo identity and the look and feel.
Urbanbloom creates premium floral designs for events and seasonal installations. After assessing the competitors' brands and exploring a variety of options, I created original illustrations and a look and feel based on rustic floral imagery. The identity captures a sophisticated yet down-to-earth personality that reflects the owners' sensibility.

Shinkeiei Business Innovation Research Group
Promotional materials for a business conference in Tokyo.
The 35th anniversary Shinkeiei conference is all about innovation and forging the future for Japanese business. From IoT, biotechnology, AI and engineering to ancient technologies like traditional swordsmithing, the speakers will share their inspirations and challenges. Presenters include legendary architect Tadao Ando, MIT professor Hiroshi Ishii, and an impressive group of Japanese business leaders from a wide array of fields.
I was thrilled to have this opportunity to work with the passionate people at Shinkeiei. The theme of the sailing ship relates to the event venue, the Nihonmaru, a four-masted ship docked in Tokyo harbor, but it also embodies the world-changing power of transformational technology.
I really enjoyed working with thomson reuters infographic graphic design project. The big challenge was minimizing a lot of information into a simple layout.
Kyoko Honda is a handcrafted jewelry designer in NY. Her sophisticated fine jewelry and her deep understanding of each material inspired me to create an earthly but refined design branding concept with my watercolor illustration.
I've been working with a pharmaceutical ad agency for several years mainly on brand identity projects. Its always a challenge because I want to introduce innovative, beautiful design into a field which has traditional values.
I created this for a Brooklyn public school in Gowanus, where the famous Kentile sign was recently demolished. I used that former icon of the brooklyn skyline to show an industrial but charming look that would appeal to both kids and parents. The school created Tshirts, water bottles and tote bags based on the design.
The whole branding package for an international consulting services company, Nuture Networks.
I created the identity and packaging for a Japanese ready-to-eat soba noodle salad. This product "it's soba time" starts with the concept "inner makeup" which means that outer beauty comes from what we feed our bodies.
